Missions

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth

Acts 1:8

This is the final command that Jesus gave his disciples before ascending into heaven. Much of the world, even today, has never heard of Jesus or His sacrifice on the cross. Without knowing the Good News, this world is lost and without hope, for it is only through faith in Christ that a person is saved. Jesus has commanded his followers to go out into the world, both near and far, in order to teach the Gospel.

At Auburn Baptist Church, we realize that God could have used any method to spread the Gospel around the world, but we consider ourselves blessed and honored that He has chosen to use His people to accomplish this task. Our desire is to minister to people’s spiritual and physical needs while spreading the Gospel. This has led us to both local and foreign mission sites, but at all sites and in all situations, we wish to demonstrate to people God’s love.

Bethany Christian Services is a global nonprofit organization that brings families together and keeps families together. Strengthening families for the well-being of children is our top priority. Our services include adoption, foster care, and pregnancy counseling. We also provide counseling to families, assist refugees and immigrants resettling in the U.S., and partner with several international countries to help keep families together. The work we do equips families to be the answer for children in need—as Christ intended.
Moved by our Christian faith, we seek a world where every child has the support and resources to reach their full potential — a world where every child has a loving and secure home. Since our founding in 1956, we have worked toward our vision through programs that strengthen and preserve families that are at risk of separation; by providing critical care and support to orphaned and vulnerable children; and by leading the global community in finding families for children who need them and providing the pre- and post-adoption support and resources they need to thrive. Always, we focus on each child’s unique needs — keeping the child's best interest and God-given potential at the forefront of every decision.
As a Christian agency, we at New Beginnings strive to a be a resource for our local churches and churches around the U.S. The Bible commands us to care for the unborn, the widows and the orphans.  If you are interested in partnering with New Beginnings, whether it be through adoption, orphan care, or financial contributions, please visit our web site.

Seasonal Missions Opportunities

This ministry was started to target kids in our community and school who may not have been able to get on the Salvation Army Angel Tree or whose families may be having unforeseen financial hardships and they need a little extra help. We work with the schools to identify these children and provide them with Christmas gifts they otherwise would not have been able to receive. You can sponsor a child yourself, partner with friends to sponsor a child, or LIFEGroups can sponsor children. We will also welcome monetary donations to purchase the gifts. Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated. Please contact the church office or Cindy DeVaughn for more information.
